One word: Heavy Duty. Okay, that was two words, but this thing is seriously well built. This is a key ring holder on steroids. I bought this because my previous key ring holder simply clipped onto my belt, and it too easily unclipped itself, coming very close to causing me to lose my keys, along with the holder, while riding my motorcycle. Now I'd first have to lose my belt before the Zak Tool key ring holder could come off. The spring requires a nice, firm, press of the key ring to snap the ring into place, and a firm press of the spring to release the key ring, so there's no way the key ring will accidentally come off. Even Evel Knievel wouldn't have lost his keys had he used this key ring holder. One caveat though, it is thick. By thick, I mean it does stick out from your body a bit more than the cheaper variety of key ring holders. At it's widest thickness, it will stick out from your pants almost 1.25", including the little flare at the bottom loop. This isn't a problem for me, as I never find myself trying to squeeze between a Ferrari F60 America and a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita parked too closely in my garage. If you happen to have that little, um, "problem", then you probably don't need the Zak Tool key ring holder because you have someone holding your keys for you.
